The book includes the fascinating story of twenty-five holocaust survivors.  The narrators were placed in the yellow-star houses and lived through the horrors of the Holocaust as children. 
The life stories show us that the Shoah did not and could not end with the liberation, the imprint of the sufferings and humiliations that the survivors lived through cannot be expunged from their souls. The Holocaust influenced the future life of those who managed to survive it. At the same time the book has a positive resonance, since all the 25 narrators - doctors, teachers, managers - could present a successful life.
